Hi I am Dee, the Geeky Photographer. While I am mostly described as a Nerd by my favorite/only sister (Yep, that’s a capital “N”), I qualify as a Geek as well. I love learning about new things, figuring them out, doing it myself, and then sharing with other people. Sharing is what this blog is about. I want to share what I know, and also learn from others, which is awesome. It gives me new rabbit holes to dive into! That’s the Geek talking now!
Photography has been my passion for the past 10 years. And with my photography, there has always been a need to get online to connect with other photographers, share my work, and ultimately sell it.
I have gathered much of my knowledge from the web, and my intent is to not reiterate that info, but summarize, share my opinion, and point you to the online resource for your own study. This blog is mostly focused on the getting online part for photography, but I plan to share in other areas like gear, technique, and business.
I have a blog on my main photography website, but over time my website has gone from a place to put my pictures, to one focused on business. The how-to stuff does not really belong there. It is meant for other photographers, not necessarily my customers. But I have always wanted to share, so here I am, as the Geeky Photographer.
While this blog is from a photographer’s point of view, I am also an artist and business owner. Artists and business owners will also find much of what I have to say interesting as well. You can see my professional work at Dee Zunker Photography.
